Holy Moly.  When I came across this tid bit I was like well no wonder we can hardly dodge sugar. There are 60 other names for sugar that we have to learn.  Sneaky food manufacturers. Sometimes or even most times, I wonder how will we survive them. So that’s the reason why I eat unprocessed everything…as far as possible. I eat clean, pure foods that don’t have ingredients that I don’t know what are. I eat foods mostly prepared at home unless I have to go for a dinner party. So I think this is just ok if we live according to the rule and have the exception at times. We have to breathe my behnos.

added sugar hiding in food

I read an article called, “Hidden in Plain Sight” from the University of California… you may be interested in it as well. It states that added sugar is hiding in 74% of our packaged foods.

While product labels list total sugar content, manufacturers are not required to say whether that total includes added sugar, which makes it difficult to know how much of the total comes from added sugar and how much is naturally occurring in ingredients such as fruit or milk. That makes it very difficult to account for how much added sugar we’re consuming.2,3

So without further delay in case you are looking for a long list of 60 other things to worry about today – here they all are.  Have a blessed day my Behnos.
